WebAbstract : Following an introduction to the terms employed in describing the morphology of hyphomycetes, a key is given to the 295 genera dealt with. The genera are fully described and descriptions and illustrations are given of a number of species in each genus; in many genera a key to the species is provided. WebThe genus Paecilomyces (type species: P. variotii Bainier) is monographed and redefined. The delimitation of the genus and its relationship to other genera are discussed; the perfect states belong to Byssochlamys Westl., Talaromyces C. R. Benjamin and Thermoascus Miehe. A key to the described genera and some relatives is given.
