On the hydrodynamics of soap films

Web26 de abr. de 2006 · The mean film thickness, prior to rupture, was measured by an electrical conductivity method: initial film thicknesses were of order 0.3–0.9 μm. For an unruptured film, drainage due to gravity reduced the film thickness; the films ruptured naturally at a thickness of order 0.05–0.09 μm. Web15 de abr. de 2002 · A review of recent experiments in two-dimensional turbulence is presented. Work on flowing soap films and on thin layers of fluid driven electromagnetically is covered. Theoretical notions of turbulence in two and three dimensions are introduced. Export citation and abstract BibTeX RIS. Previous article in issue.
